Hog Roast! -- August 3, 2025

Hog Roast! Sunday August 3, 2025 at Farmcraft. We're having a party, and we want you to join us for the celebratory spectacle of a whole hog roast. There is no better celebration of the bounty and abundance of summer than having the community come out and feeding their bodies and souls until overflowing with nourishment - farm tour, music, stories, laughs, cold beverages, yard games, a garden stroll, a walk in the pasture, a nap in the shade, a soak in the sun and of course Farmcraft food - coleslaw, tomatoes, cukes, salads, and rich juicy organic-fed & pasture-raised whole-hog roasted pork.

Come over any time after 12 noon. Tour starting at 1pm. The hog will come off the bbq at approximately 3pm and we'll start serving. Besides beautiful pork hog-roasted to (hopeful) perfection, we will provide sides, water, fizzy water and light beer.  You are welcome to bring your own beverages of any kind, or any other snacks for yourself or blankets or chairs or whatever you need to keep yourself comfortable and having a good ol time.

Farmhand Luke & Farmboss Andrea will be leading a Farm Tour starting at 1:00pm. If you are coming on the tour, please arrive before 1:00.

We will have some of Farmcraft's wholesome fare for sale - organic fed & pasture raised pork, chicken and eggs. It will be available to shop and self-checkout anytime during the party, and Andrea or Luke will staff the checkout from 12-1pm and 430-530pm.

All the fence is electric. It won’t kill you, or even harm you. But it will surprise you if you grab it. The animals are unpredictable. Please don't pet them or go into their paddocks, especially the pigs.

Park on the street, please. If you are less good at walking or encumbered with lots of stuff or babies, there are 5 or 10 parking spots on the north side of the house.

We will set up our tents for shade and put chairs under the trees for seating, but you are welcome to bring your own chairs or picnic blankets too. Sometimes we run a little short on chairs.

Come any time after 12 noon. Tour 1pm. Food starting approximately 3PM. Stay as long as you would like!

Adults: $20, Children under 12: $1

Last year we had about 100 people. We're so grateful so many people came last year. We're hoping for a similar number this year. We can't really host more people than that, so if you want to come, please buy your ticket sooner than later.
