Farm Party! -- May 18, 2025

We’re having a Farm Party! Sunday May 18, 2025 at Farmcraft. An afternoon get-together with a farm tour led by Farmer Luke & Farmer Andrea, open-door access to walk about the farm and gardens and forest, dinner with Farmcraft meats and other local farm fare, drinks, relaxation.

Lots to see - baby calves, piglets, more cattle than have been on the land in half a century, a new pasture planting, pigs on pasture, a pasture fleet of mobile coops filled with meat chickens, the start of this year's vegetable & corn & pumpkin & melon gardens, a beautiful flock of 250 hens foraging the pasture...

We’ll serve a main dish of Farmcraft 100% Organic Fed & Pasture Raised Meats plus sides from our farm and other local farms, served for dinner around 4:30PM. There will be fizzy water, water water, and you are welcome to bring your own beverages including alcohol, sugar or whatever else catches your fancy.

Park on the street, please. If you are less good at walking or encumbered with lots of stuff or babies, there are 5 or 10 parking spots on the north side of the house.

We will have all kinds of pork (brats, hams, chops, roasts, etc) for sale. We are sold out of meat chickens until June - you'll see the first batch of 2025 out on pasture during the party. We will have eggs for sale. The hens are on ultra-lush and nutritious spring pasture and will be laying supremely good eggs. We will also have stewing hens for sale. Mmm, baby, these stewing hens are delicious birdies for making chicken soup, broth or casserole that would rival anything out of Grandma's kitchen. Lastly, we'll likely have some plants! A smattering of flowers or herbs for sale at modest prices.

All the fence is electric. It won’t kill you, or even harm you. But it will surprise you if you grab it.

Tour will start around 2:30 PM. If you are coming on the guided tour, please arrive before 2:30 PM. Dinner will follow starting around 4:00 or 4:30PM. Stay as long as you would like!
